Tell us about the unit(s):

·         Number of Beds: 20 rooms

·         Number of Staff: 110 total

·         Type of Staff:   Director, Charge RN, OR Coordinators, surgeons, anesthesiologists, CRNA’s

o    Day Shift: Director, Manager, 18 teams total, 18 RN’s and 18 techs

o    Night Shift:  2 teams, 1 on-call team, they get called based on staffing and volume.

·         Patient Ratios –1:1  

·         Type of Equipment: Sterile accessories, circulator, sponges, gowning, gloving, tubing, cords, cuts

·         Documentation System: Must have Meditech experience

·         Call Requirements: 2 weekend shifts (8hrs), 4 evening shifts (4 hrs), 1 overnight shift (8hrs) in a month

Typical Hiring Profile

Must have: (includes certifications and special skills, ex: ACLS, BLS, NIH)

·             BLS, ACLS  

·         Must have 2 years current experience in an acute hospital setting, not a surgical center

·         Strong ortho, neuro and robotics experience, must be willing to float among different specialties in OR

·         Must have Meditech Experience.

List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):  

·         Robotics/Da Vinci, SP, DV5, Mako, Stealth (Neuro), Burn cases (Rooms at 84 degrees temp), cysto fluid management, GI tower system, endo, laparoscopic equipment, ENT, Eye, Trauma 1 peds and adults, endo vascular hybrid room, implants scanning and documentation, specimen documentation, etc

Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently)

·            Prepare operating room, arrange equipment, assist doctor’s during surgeries , Mantain a 30 minute turn around time

·         ·       Inspect, maintain, decontaminate and repair surgical equipment, keeping inventory records, pre and post-surgical repair including shaving, transporting and applying dressings
