Travel RN – Cardiovascular Procedural / Stress Testing

Shift: Day, 5x8 – 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Charting: Epic

Position Requirements

• BSN required
• 2+ years of RN experience
• PA or Compact RN license required at submission
• BLS + ACLS required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No floating
• No call
• No weekend requirement
• Block scheduling not accepted
• 50-mile local radius – local rate differential applies

Preferred / Crucial Experience

Experience in one or more of:

• ICU
• Cath Lab
• Emergency Department
• Stress Testing
• IR procedures
• GI procedures
• Other procedural areas

Crucial: Experience caring for patients undergoing procedures and moderate sedation, particularly in an ICU/procedural environment.

Unit Details

• Ambulatory cardiovascular procedural area
• 4 rooms
• Adult & geriatric patients
• Exercise and pharmacological stress tests
• Transesophageal echocardiograms with moderate sedation
• Patient ratio listed as 1:1
• Support: Radiology, Pharmacy, Interpretation Services, Unit Secretary

• Arrhythmia interpretation
• Cardiology
• Chest pain management
• Cardiac arrest/CPR
• AED
• IV infusions
• Venipuncture
• 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Vital signs and pulse oximetry
• Blood glucose monitoring
• Medication reconciliation
• Pain assessment
• Altered level of consciousness
• Hypertension
• Laboratory result interpretation
• Emergency Department experience
