Shift: 12H Nights 12hr nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit coverage

Unit Notes:**MUST HAVE LEVEL 1 TRAUMA EXPERIENCE**50 MILE RADIUS RULE - NO LOCAL RATE - DL IS SOURCE OF TRUTHPRESCREEN INTERVIEWAUTO OFFER with 7 days of PTO or less, holiday time off must be approved by manager PRIOR TO SENDING CONTRACT, CANDIDATE MUST PASS BASIC DYSRHYTHMIA EXAM WITHIN 2 ATTEMPTS; PASSING SCORE IS 80%. If failed, candidate will be a DNU for 6 months within CS AZ and Sacramento Region PASS FAIL DAY 1 SIMs Lab: All Tele RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus. NOTE - SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field. Those travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills (See separate notes for the specific checklist IF traveler asks for additional details). The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field, as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently. NOTE: if a candidate indicates that they are not competent in either of these areas, they are probably not a good fit. In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care, but these are just educational based since the equipment & policies can be different facility to facility. Float Pool Experience Requirements: Must have 2 years (or more) experience in Med/Surg/Tele. Level I trauma center and teaching hospital experience preferred due to the complexity and the acuity of the patient population on all the units. Travelers must understand that that they will be floated & will not have an opportunity to refuse, stating that they ""don't do"" or ""won't do"" in regards to floating."The Med Surg Tele Float Cluster supports multiple medical-surgical, telemetry, neuro, and observation units, with typical ratios ranging from 1:3 6.
