Position Overview:

Chenega Lawton Indian Hospital is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to provide safe, effective, and timely pharmacy services. The Pharmacist will be responsible for medication dispensing, prescription processing, patient counseling, medication management, and supporting the healthcare team in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, and accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions and provider orders.
• Verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and potential contraindications.
• Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper use, dosage, precautions, and potential side effects.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Process prescriptions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow applicable federal, state, and facility policies regarding controlled substances and medication handling.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support safe and effective patient care.
• Monitor medication therapy and provide appropriate recommendations when needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of medications, pharmacy practices, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.

Schedule:

• 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
• 40 hours/week
• 26-week contract
