Location: Urbana, Illinois

Contract Hours: 36 hours/week
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts | Days/Nights
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Job Overview
The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process, clinical judgment, nursing interventions, and appropriate emergency-care procedures.
Emergency Department Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emergency nursing interventions
- Continuously reassess patients and modify care plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Identify and report safety hazards
- Follow established safety standards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members
- Provide appropriate feedback and support to peers
- Maintain required departmental competencies
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience
- Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Strong patient assessment and emergency nursing skills
Education
- Required: ASN
- Preferred: BSN
Required License & Certifications
- Active Illinois RN License in good standing
- BLS – American Heart Association
- ACLS – American Heart Association
- PALS – American Heart Association
