Job Summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an experienced SICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center. The RN will provide critical care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for critically ill surgical patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV medications and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Manage arterial lines and provide central line care.
• Care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP support.
• Perform ETT and nasotracheal suctioning as needed.
• Follow infection control and isolation precautions.
• Float within the ICU cluster based on unit needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Active Connecticut RN license required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Patient ratio experience of approximately 1:2.
• Teaching hospital experience and Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred.
• Travel experience is not required.
