Description

Travel Therapist – Acute Care / Rehab

Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Facility: 378-bed hospital
Department: Therapy Services

Facility / Unit

378-bed hospital
Service lines include:
- Orthopedic / elective joints
- Neurology
- Vascular
- General Medical/Surgical
Staff:
- 27 Physical Therapists
- 19 Occupational Therapists
- 5 Speech Therapists

Patient Volum e

Acute Care: Target of 8 patients/day
ARU/Rehab: Target of 4 patients/day

Responsibilities

Perform therapy evaluations and treatments
Screen patients for appropriate therapy services
Develop appropriate treatment plans
Make patient discharge recommendations
Provide therapy services in Adult Acute Care and/or Rehab

Requirements

Current Texas therapy license required
Flexible with changing schedules
Willing to work weekends
Fast learner and receptive to training
Acute Care experience preferred
ARU/Rehab experience preferred
Meditech experience preferred

Floating: Adult Acute Care and/or Rehab Unit
EMR: Meditech
Equipment: DME and exercise equipment
Scrubs: Olive green tops + black scrub pants
