Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide care for acute-care patients in a general medicine and telemetry unit. The RN must be comfortable floating to other units or areas as directed by facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical and telemetry setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer oxygen and provide non-invasive respiratory support.
• Perform peripheral IV care and management.
• Follow isolation precautions and infection-control procedures.
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities.
• Float to other units or departments as assigned, including possible mid-shift floating.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care Medical-Surgical experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Cerner charting experience required.
• Travel experience is not required.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias is preferred.
• Tracheostomy care and management experience preferred.
