Description
This Respiratory Therapist NICU position at Baystate Health is a 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, MA, working 36 hours per week on 3x12-hour day shifts with weekend requirements. The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care and treatment for neonatal and pediatric patients, including assessing respiratory conditions, performing diagnostic tests, managing pulmonary equipment, administering therapies, educating patients and families, and collaborating with physicians to develop treatment plans. Candidates must have a Massachusetts Respiratory License, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential (RRT preferred), BLS certification, and at least 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, possesses strong critical thinking and time management skills, and is experienced in managing complex respiratory conditions in a hospital setting. Free parking is available, and Baystate requires travelers to live at least 90 miles from the facility.
