Position Overview

The Emergency Room RN provides direct nursing care to patients presenting with a broad range of medical and emergency conditions in a high-volume Emergency Department.

The department includes 72 beds and sees approximately 270–300 patients per day. Most beds are monitored, with the exception of the fast-track area.

The RN is expected to perform rapid assessment, prioritize patient needs, provide emergency interventions, and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience – Required
• 2 years is a hard-stop requirement
• Previous travel experience – Required
• Community hospital experience – Required
• Trauma Level II or III experience – Required
• Emergency Department triage experience – Required
• Active state RN license – Required at submission
• Pending license is NOT accepted
• Patient ratio experience: 1:4
• First-time travelers are accepted, although travel experience itself is listed as required

Required Certifications

Orientation

Orientation: 12 Hours

Facility modules are completed during orientation and are factored into the applicable NBO. Average module time is approximately 3–6 hours, depending on specialty. Module time is non-billable.

Facility Expectations & Dress Code

The facility maintains a strict appearance policy. Candidates must comply with the following:

• No facial hair
• No acrylic nails
• No unnatural hair colors
• All tattoos must be covered
• No visible body piercings other than earrings
• No facial or nose rings
• Earrings must not extend beyond the earlobe
• Hoop earrings are not permitted

Submission Rules

• Maximum of 1 active submission per candidate
• Local candidates are accepted at the standard bill rate
• Previous facility staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All RTO must be disclosed at submission
