Position Overview

The Pharmacist will work within the Pharmacy Department at Centerpoint Medical Center, a 285-bed facility operating under a decentralized pharmacist model.

The role supports medication distribution and pharmacy operations, including medication preparation, sterile and non-sterile compounding, Pyxis management, and other pharmacy services.

Required Qualification

Pharmacist License

• Current, active Missouri Pharmacist License in good standing – Required
• Missouri Pharmacist License must be in hand prior to submission

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Variable shifts
• Combination of day and evening shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No overnight shifts
• No on-call requirement
• No floating

Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacist may be responsible for:

• Refilling Pyxis machines
• Filling and preparing first doses
• Performing IV sterile compounding
• Performing non-sterile compounding
• Packaging unit-dose (UD) medications
• Refilling Code Blue trays
• Answering pharmacy phones
• Assisting pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations
• Supporting medication distribution and pharmacy workflow
• Performing duties according to pharmacy policies and procedures

Preferred Skills

Knowledge or experience with the following systems is preferred:

• Pyxis ES
• Meditech
• DoseEdge
