🏥 Travel RN – Med-Surg/Oncology | Nights

Unit: 6th Floor Med-Surg/Oncology – 61126
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-Hour Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 48 Hours/Week
Contract: 13 Weeks

🏥 Unit Details

• 36-bed Med-Surg/Oncology unit
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Charting: Meditech
• Team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Clinical Care Coordinators, and Unit Secretary

👩‍⚕️ Patient Population

• Medical-Surgical patients
• Oncology patients
• Hospice patients
• Hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring without interventions

✅ Requirements

• BLS required
• Med-Surg experience
• Strong patient-centered care skills
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a busy Med-Surg environment

🩺 Skills / Procedures

• Wound vac management and dressing changes
• Drain removal
• IV/PICC line care
• Foley catheter insertion/removal
• NG tube insertion/removal
• Cardiac monitoring for stable patients
• PCA management
• Chest tube and surgical drain care

🔄 Floating

May float to:

• Med-Surg
• Telemetry for Med-Surg-level patients only

📅 Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 48 hours guaranteed
• Every 3rd weekend

👕 Scrubs

• RN: Pewter/Gray
• PCT: Caribbean Blue

⭐ Quick Must-Haves

BLS + Med-Surg experience + Oncology experience preferred + strong patient-centered/teamwork skills.

This is a 36-bed Med-Surg/Oncology unit with a 1:6 ratio, 48 guaranteed hours, night shift, and every 3rd weekend.
