Travel RN – PACU | Level I Trauma

Shift: Days, 3×12s | 11:00 AM–11:30 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Start Date: 11/02/2026

Position Requirements

• 2+ years required; 3 years preferred
• Critical Care or PACU experience required
• ICU background required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome per job description
• TNCC, PALS, ACLS, BLS required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Cerner/Aecis SurgiNet charting experience required per description
• Must be comfortable with adult and pediatric patients
• Epic listed in the requirements section, creating a charting-system discrepancy; verify before submission

• Unit: PACU / SPU
• Patients: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 30
• Rooms: 12
• Beds: 12
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Float: Daily; may float to GI and Pain Center
• Scrubs: Provided

Call Requirement

• 2 × 8-hour call shifts Monday–Thursday
• 1 × 12-hour weekend call shift during the 6-week schedule
• 1 summer and 1 winter on-call holiday
• Block scheduling not accommodated

Clinical Experience

• Phase I & Phase II PACU
• Pediatric PACU
• Ventilated patients
• Arterial lines, Swan-Ganz, ventricular drains
• Vasoactive IV titration
• Craniotomies
• Liver/kidney transplant
• Cardiac cath procedures
• ERCP/endoscopy
• Interventional radiology
• Level I trauma cases
• Orthopedic/spine, vascular, ENT, GYN, urology, plastics and general surgery
• Procedural sedation and MAC
• Airway management/intubation/extubation
• Malignant hyperthermia protocols
• Pain management and nerve blocks
