RN – Cardiac Cath Lab

Facility Type: Level I Trauma | Level III Perinatal | Teaching Hospital | Magnet | Comprehensive Stroke Center
Beds: 397
Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
Cath Labs: 3
Shift: Days | 10 hours | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: Per contract
Contract: 13 weeks
First-Time Travelers: No
Experience: 2+ years Cath Lab experience required

Must-Haves – RN

  • 2+ years Cardiac Cath Lab experience
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • EPIC experience
  • Experience monitoring and circulating cases
  • Moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl
  • Critical drip management

Case Types / Procedures

Experience with:

  • Diagnostic & interventional cardiac procedures
  • LHC / RHC
  • NSTEMI / STEMI
  • Impella
  • IABP
  • Rotablator
  • CTO / staged PCI
  • Shockwave
  • Temporary pacemakers
  • Peripheral diagnostic/interventional procedures
  • Loop recorders
  • EP procedures
  • Micra
  • Pacemakers
  • AICDs
  • Lead extractions/revisions
  • Generator changes

Average daily volume: 5–15 cases/day

Scheduling

  • Self-scheduling, with manager final approval
  • Schedule created in 6-week increments
  • Call required
  • Weekday call: 4–5 additional overnight call shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Weekend: 2 shifts per 4-week schedule — Saturday + Sunday together or split
  • 30-minute response time
  • Holiday call may be required
  • No sleep room
  • RTO: Up to 7 days
