Registered Nurse – NICU

.
Location: Baltimore, MD
Start Date: 10/26/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Rotating 3x12-Hour Days/Nights (07:00–19:30 / 19:00–07:30)
Schedule: Every other weekend
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Charting System: Meditech
Float Required: Yes, within specialty
Call Requirement: None
Note: 2 years of NICU experience is non-negotiable. Trach experience required. First-time travelers accepted.

 

Position Overview:

Pediatric RN position caring for neonates, infants, and pediatric patients with complex conditions including prematurity, AOP, ROP, BLD/CLD, cardiac defects, feeding issues, and NAS.

 

Job duties:

  • Provide direct nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patients with complex medical needs.
  • Manage tracheostomy, ventilator, PICC, and central-line patients.
  • Administer IV medications, emergency medications, TPN/lipids, and blood products as required.
  • Manage enteral feedings including bottle, breast, and gavage feeding and NG tubes.
  • Monitor respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular, and overall clinical status and respond to changes.

Requirements:
License: Active MD RN or Compact License
Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU experience; hard stop requirement
Certifications: BLS required; CPI preferred
Other requirement: Trach experience required; must be comfortable floating within specialty.

Patient Ratios: 1:4
Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics
Patient Diagnoses: Prematurity, AOP, ROP, BLD/CLD, cardiac defects, feeding issues, NAS, iatrogenic NAS.
