Description

Registered Nurse – ED


Location: Baltimore, MD
Start Date: 10/26/2026
Duration: 14 weeks
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00–07:30)
Schedule: Every other weekend; holidays required as scheduled
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Charting System: Epic preferred
Float Required: Yes, within skillset
Call Requirement: None
Note: Auto Offer. First-time travelers accepted. Minimum 2 years of ER experience required.

 

Position Overview:

Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity ER setting, managing adult and pediatric emergency presentations, including respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, cardiac, and trauma-related conditions.

 

Job duties:

  • Perform rapid triage and comprehensive assessment of emergency patients.
  • Initiate and maintain IV therapy, phlebotomy, central-line care, and blood product administration.
  • Manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and emergency airway interventions.
  • Administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous sedation, and procedural sedation as indicated.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and respond to cardiovascular emergencies.

Requirements:
License: Active MD RN or Compact License
Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS; TNCC preferred
Other requirement: First-time travelers accepted; must be comfortable floating within skillset.

Unit: Emergency Room
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Patient Population: Emergency patients; pediatric experience required/preferred based on listed skills
Patient Diagnoses: Abdominal pain, asthma, head injury, hyperglycemia, infection, behavioral health conditions, drug overdose, respiratory conditions, seizures, CVA, cardiac emergencies, multisystem organ dysfunction, and ortho trauma.
