Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience
Ventilator experience
Tracheostomy experience

Unit Details

Bean 5
43 beds
Patient mix includes respiratory, medical telemetry, some surgical, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and other acute on chronic medical conditions

Float Scope

IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit within MMC
IMC RNs will float to med/surg as needed
Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care

Equipment

Ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP
Nasal cannula, non-rebreather, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, trach care/maintenance

Additional Notes

Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: 36 unless otherwise noted
Patient ratios: Day Shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night Shift Med/surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1
Mandatory onboarding education required
