Location: Easton, MD 21601

Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Rotating Nights/Evenings – 3x12 19:00–07:30 / 15:00–03:30
Schedule: Every other weekend; holidays as scheduled
Patient Ratio: 1:4, up to 1:5 with lower acuity
Charting System: Epic
Float Required: Yes 
Call Requirement: No pre-scheduled on-call shifts
Note: Fast-paced ED with complex diagnoses; primary need is night shift. 

Position Overview:

Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume ED serving patients from infancy through geriatrics, managing complex medical, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and traumatic conditions.

Job duties:

• Perform rapid triage and comprehensive assessment of patients presenting with acute and complex conditions.
• Initiate and maintain IV therapy, administer emergency medications, and manage IV vasopressors and sedation.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, obtain 12-lead ECGs, and respond to dysrhythmias and other emergent cardiac conditions.
• Provide respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator care, intubation assistance, and chest tube management.
• Manage psychiatric emergencies, CVA patients, seizures, overdoses, and other high-acuity conditions while maintaining appropriate safety and isolation precautions.

Requirements:
License: Active Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
Experience: 2+ years ED experience; first-time travelers accepted
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI; NRP and TNCC preferred
Other requirement: Community hospital experience required; previous charge experience required; AHA required for BLS/ACLS/PALS; CPI required during onboarding
