Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery/Post-Partum RN to provide care to mothers and newborns following delivery in an acute care setting.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in maternal and newborn health, post-partum care, and C-section cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to mothers and newborns following delivery.
- Monitor maternal and newborn health and assess patient conditions.
- Provide post-partum care and support recovery following delivery.
- Assist with care related to C-section deliveries.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote safe patient outcomes.
- Float to the Mother-Baby unit as needed.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery/Post-Partum nursing experience
- Recent experience in maternal and newborn health
- Experience with C-sections
- Experience in a community-based acute care hospital
Required Certifications
- AHA BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (AFHM)
- NIHSS
- MAB or CPI
- LA City Fire Card & Life Safety Card
Additional Requirements
- COVID vaccination and booster, if eligible, required.
- Completion of employee health clearance before the assignment start date.

- Patient Ratios: Within California state guidelines
- EMR: Cerner
- Scrubs: Any color; navy blue or black preferred
- PPE: Provided
- Parking: Available onsite
- Pay Cycle: Sunday–Saturday
