Description

CT Technologist – Travel Contract
Location: Roeland Park, Kansas

Quick Glance

Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
Call: Yes, based on department needs
Floating: Yes (within system sites)

Role Overview

We’re hiring an experienced CT Technologist for a busy community hospital setting supporting emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging. This role requires strong technical skills, adaptability, and comfort working across multiple sites within the system.

Responsibilities

Perform CT imaging across ED, inpatient, and outpatient populations
Conduct scans including abdomen, pelvis, chest, vascular, head, and musculoskeletal studies
Administer contrast and start IVs as needed
Utilize advanced imaging techniques including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure high-quality imaging
Document accurately in EPIC

Must-Have Credentials

ARRT (R) certification
Active Kansas state license
BLS (AHA) certification
Minimum 2 years of CT experience
First-time travelers not accepted

Clinical Skills Required

Adult acute care and outpatient imaging
Emergency department experience
Trauma imaging (head, spine, musculoskeletal)
Vascular studies (CTA, PE, aorta, carotid)
Contrast administration and IV starts
3D imaging (MIP, volume rendering)
Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and ROI measurement
Experience with GE systems and PACS

16 patient rooms

Additional Details

Floating required across 3 locations (Roeland Park, Leawood, Legends)
On-call required based on department needs
Local candidates not accepted (must live 75+ miles away)
RTO: Maximum 7 days
Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts over contract duration
Scrubs: Royal blue
Charting: EPIC
