CT Technologist

Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Facility: Large academic medical center / Level 1 Trauma Center
Contract: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

🕐 Shift

• Day shift
• 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 4×10-hour shifts
• 40 hours/week

👩‍⚕️ Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have CT experience.

📋 Required Certifications

• ARRT-CT – Required
• BLS – Required

🛠️ Required Skills

Candidate should have experience with:

• IV starts
• Contrast administration through peripheral IVs, power ports, and PICCs
• Routine CT scans
• Arterial scans
• Code Stroke
• Inpatient CT
• Pediatric patients
• ICU and trauma patients
• Handling drains, lines, and tubing
• Radiation safety
• Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Patient workflow/desk responsibilities
• Communicating effectively with the healthcare team

🏥 Patient Population

Adult and pediatric patients, including:

• Stroke
• Trauma/TBI
• Cardiac conditions
• Aneurysms
• Cancer/tumors/lesions
• Pancreatitis
• Bowel ischemia
• Transplant patients
• Cirrhosis/kidney conditions
• Fractures
• Pneumonia
• Thrombus
• Bleeds
• Peripheral vascular disease

• Cardiac CT experience
• Siemens Alpha Photon Counting experience
• Procedure experience

• May float between:
  • Main Reynolds Tower
  • Cancer Center

🎓 Orientation

• NEO orientation
• 2 days of departmental orientation
• First 2 weeks include training on required scanners

• Parking: Free employee parking deck
• Department: Main Tower operates 24/7 with approximately 80–110 patients/day; Cancer Center approximately 60–80 patients/day.
