MRI Technologist

Location: Rochester, NY
Assignment Length: 17 Weeks
Shift: Nights
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
Hours: 40 hours/week

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• GE MRI scanner experience is required
• Previous experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is required
• ARRT certification required
• Injection certification required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Current NYS Radiologic Technologist license, or willingness to obtain the NYS license after starting

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and explain the examination process to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Screen patients for MRI safety, contraindications, and relevant medical history
• Perform IV insertion and administer contrast when required and within scope of practice
• Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic imaging services.
