Description
CT Technologist – Travel Contract
Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Quick Glance
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
- Schedule: 4x10s, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Call: One weekend call rotation per assignment (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Sat & Sun)
- Weekend Rotation: None
- Holiday Requirement: At least one holiday preferred
- Floating: Main tower & cancer center
- Start Date: Late November
- Setting: Level I Trauma / Academic Medical Center
Role Overview
Join a high-volume, Level I Trauma academic facility as a CT Technologist supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations. This role offers exposure to a wide range of complex cases and advanced imaging technology in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging for adult and pediatric patients
- Conduct routine, trauma, and specialized scans including arterial and stroke imaging
- Administer contrast via peripheral IVs, PICCs, and ports
- Assist with patient handling, including use of lifts and working around lines/drains
- Support workflow by coordinating patient transport and managing imaging schedules
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
Must-Have Credentials
- ARRT (CT) certification
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Minimum 1 year of CT experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred Experience
- Cardiac CT experience
- Procedure-based imaging experience
- Experience with Siemens CT platforms (including Alpha Photon Counting)
Clinical Experience
- ICU and trauma patients
- Stroke and emergency imaging
- Pediatric and adult imaging
- Contrast administration and IV starts
- Handling critically ill patients with lines and drains

- Orientation includes system onboarding + 2 days departmental + 2 weeks scanner-specific training
