Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical condition.
• Care for patients with stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, monitor vital signs, and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
• Utilize specialized equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to stabilize and manage critically ill patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow emergency department safety and infection-control protocols.
• Floating is required based on facility needs; charge experience is highly preferred.
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed.

Unit Breakdown: 64 beds — 2 triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of ED RN experience with some pediatric experience.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Active NY RN license and all other active RN licenses must be verified through Nursys.
• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC required; TNCC must be in hand.
• EPIC experience required.
• Specialty-matched skills checklist and current resume required.
• RTO must be submitted with the profile.
• Locals accepted at the applicable local rate for candidates living less than 75 miles from the facility.
