Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment.
• Care for post-surgical patients with diagnoses including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity/bariatric surgery.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Manage and monitor IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate clinical concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital safety, infection-control, and patient-care standards.
• Floating is required based on facility needs.
• Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Active NY RN license and verification of all active RN licenses through Nursys.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Specialty-specific skills checklist required.
• RTO must be submitted at the time of submission.
• Locals accepted at the applicable local rate for candidates living less than 75 miles from the facility.
