Description
Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (MICU RN) – Night Shift
- Schedule: Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- On-Call & Floating Protocol: First to float when unit census dictates.
- Scheduling Policy: Strict scheduling flexibility required (no self-scheduling).
- Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks.
- Assignment Duration: 6-Week Short-Term Contract Assignment
- Location Region: Houston, Texas
Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]
- Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of dedicated Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) / Critical Care RN experience required [HARDSTOP]. (Successful placements typically have 3+ years of ICU experience and previous travel assignment history in high-volume, high-acuity facilities).
- State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]: Active Texas State RN License OR valid Multi-State Compact RN License strictly required at submission [HARDSTOP].
- Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
- Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — Healthcare Provider) [HARDSTOP].
- Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) [HARDSTOP].
- Active NIHSS (Stroke Scale Certification) [HARDSTOP].
- EMR Requirement [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical proficiency with Epic EMR strictly required [HARDSTOP].
- Preferred Clinical Skills: Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) highly preferred.
