MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and explain the scanning process to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare teams regarding diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Perform IV insertion/injections when required for contrast-enhanced studies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient information.
• Follow all MRI safety, infection control, and patient-care protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized scanning environment.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow applicable healthcare regulations.
• Provide professional patient care throughout the imaging process.

Requirements

• 2+ years of MRI Technologist experience
• GE Scanner experience – REQUIRED
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience – REQUIRED
• ARRT Certification – REQUIRED
• Injection Certification – REQUIRED
• AHA BLS – REQUIRED
• Associate degree in MRI, Radiologic Technology, or related field
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and MRI safety procedures
• Ability to work an evening shift
• NYS Radiologic Technologist License – must be willing to obtain after starting
