Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Mental Health Clinician – Spokane, WA

Shift: Evenings/Nights | 4x10s | 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
On-Call: No
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Charting: Epic – Required

Required Qualifications

Washington behavioral health license – independent or associate-level license accepted
Applicable licensure may include LCSW/LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT
WA license may be pending at time of submission
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Experience conducting crisis and mental health risk assessments
Experience working with both adult and pediatric patients
Epic experience required
Hospital/ED experience preferred

Key Responsibilities & Skills

Conduct crisis and mental health assessments in the Emergency Department
Evaluate patients for danger to self, danger to others, or grave disability
Suicide, homicide and self-harm risk assessments
Substance use disorder assessments
Biopsychosocial assessments
Crisis intervention and management
Provide level-of-care recommendations
Emergency detention/involuntary hold processes
Discharge and contingency planning
Care coordination and community resource referrals
Patient and family education, support and advocacy
Coordinate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
Knowledge of Adult/Child Protective Services
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid and community programs

Unit & Schedule Details

Adult & Pediatric Emergency Department
4x10-hour evening/night shifts
Every other weekend required
May float to a nearby sister hospital to perform the same duties
Approximate daily census: 7
No on-call requirement
No pre-approved time off listed
