🏥 Travel RN – Medical-Surgical / Pulmonary Unit

📍 Location: Sanford Health
🕐 Shift: 12-hour Nights
📅 Schedule: 36 hrs/week | Every other weekend & holiday
📄 Contract: 13 weeks
💰 Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
🩺 Setting: Acute Care

🏥 Unit Details

• 30-bed Medical-Surgical Unit
• 8-bed Progressive Care/IMC Unit
• Pulmonary-focused patient population
• MS travelers work Med-Surg only
• IMC travelers work both IMC/MS
• Patient ratios:
  • Days: 1:4–5
  • Nights: 1:5–6
  • Pulmonary Acute IMC: 1:3

👩‍⚕️ Required Experience

• Medical-Surgical patient care
• Telemetry
• BiPAP
• CPAP
• Heated High Flow
• Oxygen titration
• Moderate sedation monitoring
• Chest tubes
• Tracheostomies
• Non-invasive & mechanical ventilation
• Post-op care

📋 Required Certifications

• BLS – AHA
• ACLS – AHA
• SD or Compact RN License
• Specialty certification preferred

💻 Equipment / Documentation

• Epic
• Alaris IV pumps
• AcuDose medication system

👕 Scrubs

Navy/Blue scrubs

🔄 Floating

• Travelers are the first to be reassigned
• May float to other Med-Surg units/departments

⚠️ Important Submission Requirement

• Must document whether the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health.
• If previously employed by Sanford Health, their employment must have ended at least 6 months before submission.
• All clinicians must badge in/out at the facility

⭐ Candidate Must-Haves

BLS + ACLS (AHA) + SD/Compact RN license + strong Med-Surg/Telemetry experience + BiPAP/CPAP/High Flow/O₂ titration + mechanical ventilation experience.

This is a strong fit for an RN with Med-Surg experience who is comfortable with higher-acuity pulmonary patients and ventilatory support.
