LVN / LPN – Long-Term Care (LTC) – Seward, AK

Location: Seward, AK 99664
Contract: 13 or 26 Weeks
Start Date: 11/03/2026 / ASAP
Weekly gross: $2,304/ weekly (Including OT)
Shift: 4x12s | Days or Nights
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:20
Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN/LVN License – MUST be in hand at submission
- BLS – Required
- Minimum 1 year of LTC experience
- Previous travel experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Pending Alaska license not accepted
- Skilled Nursing/LTC experience required
Required Skills & Experience
- Medication administration
- Blood glucose monitoring/Accuchecks
- PEG/G-tube feeding and management
- Foley catheter insertion and management
- Oxygen administration and respiratory treatments
- Wound care
- IV hydration
- Phlebotomy/lab draws
- Vital-sign monitoring
- Patient admissions
- Communicating changes in condition to RN/MD
- Isolation precautions/PPE
- Experience caring for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, cognitive and physical impairments
Schedule & Assignment Details
- 4x12-hour shifts
- Assignment will generally be either days or nights, not rotating
- No on-call requirement
- Float within scope may be required
- Block scheduling not available
- Must be willing to work at least 2 of 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's
- Local candidates not accepted — permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility

- Approximately 40 staffed beds
- Free parking
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Alaska Food Worker Certification required after arrival and completed during orientation ($10 one-time fee)
- Facility provides shuttle transportation to/from Anchorage at the beginning and end of the contract
- Local shuttle transportation is also available in Seward
