PAY:

Traveler Pay: $2,850/week weekly ($44/hr. on w2 + $1266/week Stipend) for 36 hours.

JOB DETAILS:

• Position - Emergency Department RN
• Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, New York, 13502
• Duration - 13 weeks contract
• Shift - 10:30AM - 11:00PM. (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
• Weekly - 36 hours
• Schedule - Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Beds- 64

REQUIREMENT:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Pediatric/PEDS experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Active New York RN license at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC — all required
• EPIC experience required
• ED-specific Skills Checklist
• Nursys report/license verification
• Driver's license with address matching candidate demographics
• Charge RN experience highly preferred

Unit & Patient Population

The Emergency Department includes:

• 2 Triage beds
• 40 Acute beds
• 6 Super Track beds
• 2 Trauma beds
• 10 CDU beds
• 6 Psych beds

Patient population: Newborn, Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric

Common diagnoses include:

• Stroke
• Sepsis
• Trauma
• MI
• Cardiac arrest
• Respiratory failure

ED nurses are expected to care for all assigned patients, including SANE patients.

Clinical Skills & Equipment

Experience with the following is required:

• Rapid Infuser
• Arctic Sun
• Critical care drips and medications

Required Medication/Drip Experience

Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine

Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, Nitroglycerin

Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine

Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl

Other: TNK, Heparin, Insulin
