Description
MRI Technologist – Travel Contract
Facility: Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Shift: Evening – 8-hour shifts
Hours: 40 hours/week
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Floating: None – MRI only
Facility Overview
- Level II Trauma Center
- Level III NICU
- Magnet-designated facility
- Primary Stroke Center
- 933 beds
- 6 MRI scanners, currently operating 5
- Weekly census: approximately 250–300 patients
MRI Department
The department offers a highly specialized MRI environment with GE and Siemens scanners and a wide range of advanced imaging, including:
- Cardiac MRI
- Neuro
- Functional MRI
- Body
- Musculoskeletal
- Whole-body and specialty exams
Patient Population
Experience with:
- Outpatient and inpatient patients
- ED patients
- Implantable devices
- Neuro and oncology
- Musculoskeletal
- Ventilated and sedated patients
- Whole-body MRI
- Cardiac MRI experience preferred
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of MRI experience
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT
- BLS
- GE and Siemens MRI experience required
- EPIC experience required
- McKesson PACS experience required
Required Equipment Experience
- GE Discovery 750W
- Siemens Aera
- Siemens Magnetom Skyra
- McKesson PACS
Staffing & Support
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Lead Tech/Coordinator support
- Imaging Assistants available
- Traveler will never be working alone
Schedule & Call
- Evening shift, 8 hours
- 40 hours/week
- Weekend rotation: maximum every 3rd weekend
- On-call: Saturday & Sunday nights, 9:00 PM–6:30 AM
- Backup on-call: Saturday & Sunday, 6:30 AM–9:00 PM
- 30-minute response time
- Weekend on-call approximately once every 8 weeks
- Weekend on-call may include on-site Saturday hours with a compensatory weekday off
- Holiday coverage based on unit needs
- Weekly rotating responsibility for first-shift backup and weekend on-call
