Job Details:

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Med-Surg and Acute Rehab units.
• Float between Acute Rehab, Med-Surg, and other units within the nurse's scope of practice.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of patient care.
• Provide leadership and support to the nursing team.
• May be required to serve as a backup Charge Nurse.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg and Rehab nursing experience.
• Previous Charge Nurse experience is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 months of previous travel nursing experience.
• Willingness to float between units within the scope of practice.
• Must be willing to take call.
• Must have a valid Vermont or Compact RN license.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Important Contract Requirements:

• A maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be accepted.
• Travelers must be available to work at least two holiday periods, if scheduled or needed:
  • Thanksgiving Day/Friday and the following weekend.
  • Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend.
  • New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend.
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
• Candidates must have their own vehicle, as public transportation is not available in this small community.
• Permanent address must be included in the candidate's profile.
• Travelers must be flexible with floating and holiday scheduling.
