Description

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Technician to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Erie PA 16501

 

This is a 14+ Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Erie PA 16501

Schedule: EST 4am - 1230pm (40hours/week)

Pay Rate: $2100 - $2387/week (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory tests, specimen processing, and analysis following established SOPs.
  • Operate automated laboratory instruments and perform manual testing procedures.
  • Review, document, and release test results, including critical results.
  • Perform quality control, instrument calibration, and routine maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety standards.
  • Identify testing issues and report discrepancies to the supervisor.

Experience Required

  • 1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience with specimen processing, routine lab testing, and quality control.

Work Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a hospital, clinical, or diagnostic laboratory preferred.
  • Familiarity with automated instruments and manual testing procedures.

Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology, OR
  • Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.

Certifications & Licenses

- No specific certification or license required per the job description. ASCP/AMT certification is a plus, but not specified as mandatory.
