Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a night-shift contract position. The RN will be responsible for delivering coordinated nursing care to individual patients or an assigned group of patients while following established standards of care and the nursing process.
The RN will also provide clinical supervision and direction to assigned nursing staff, coordinate patient care with other healthcare disciplines, and use critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients.
- Assess patient conditions and identify changes requiring intervention.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Follow established nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor and document patient status and response to treatment.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and other appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines, including physicians, therapists, technicians, and support staff.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, procedures, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Utilize critical thinking when assessing patient needs and responding to changes in condition.
- Exercise professional and independent judgment when making nursing decisions.
- Prioritize care effectively for multiple patients.
Leadership & Supervision
The RN will also be responsible for:
- Supervising and directing assigned nursing staff.
- Coordinating activities among various levels of nursing personnel.
- Delegating appropriate patient-care activities based on staff competency and scope of practice.
- Providing guidance and support to nursing team members.
- Monitoring the delivery of patient care.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure continuity of care.
- Addressing patient-care concerns using professional and supervisory discretion.
