• Licensure Mandate: Vermont Respiratory Care License required upon acceptance of offer.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum 1+ year of recent Respiratory Therapy experience in an acute care setting.
• EHR Proficiency: Mandatory CPSI / Evident EMR experience.
• Mandatory Certifications: Active AHA BLS.
• Schedule Adaptability: Must commit to working 3x12 night shifts including weekends and holiday coverage.

Job Summary & Clinical Scope

A Hospital in Morristown, VT (serving the Morrisville/Stowe resort area) is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT) for a 13-week night contract in Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory Therapy. Operating within a critical access community hospital, the Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive direct cardiopulmonary care, ventilator management, emergency airway support, and diagnostic respiratory care across acute, emergency, and outpatient settings.

• High-Acuity Mechanical Ventilation & Airway Care: Initiate, manage, and troubleshoot invasive mechanical ventilation, NIPPV, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapies across acute inpatient beds and the Emergency Department.
• Emergency & Trauma Response: Respond immediately to rapid responses, Code Blue resuscitation calls, emergency airway management, and acute respiratory distress presentations in the Emergency Department.
• Diagnostic & Therapeutic Interventions: Administer aerosolized pharmacotherapy, perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis, execute chest physiotherapy, and conduct pulmonary screening assessments.
• Documentation & EHR Operations: Maintain complete, concise clinical documentation of therapeutic interventions, ventilator settings, and patient responses in CPSI/Evident EMR.
