Description
POSITION:: RN – PCU/Med Surg/Oncology
Location: Omaha, NE
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 10/26/2026
Shift: Night Shift | 12-Hour Nights
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
PAY PACKAGE – 36 HOURS
• Weekly Gross: $2,426/week
• W2 Pay: $27/Hour
• Weekly Stipend: $1,454/week
• Overtime: $40.50/Hour
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Oncology experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS – AHA Required
• ACLS – Required
• ONS/ONCC – Preferred, not required
• EPIC EMR experience
• Chemotherapy certification preferred, not required
• Active RN license required
• Every other weekend
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Driver’s license required at submission
• Candidates cannot currently be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
• Travelers may float to Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care
• High-flow respiratory equipment experience
• Comfortable managing insulin and Cardizem drips
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient-care departments
UNIT DETAILS
• 18-bed PCU Oncology unit
• Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients
• Night ratios: 1:4–1:5
• Shift: 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs
• Epic EMR
• Alaris IV pumps
• Clinical and manager interview required
• Two days of unit orientation
• Pass/fail exam during orientation with a 90% passing requirement
• Common medications/drips include Chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, and Protonix
• Support staff includes Nursing Assistants, Charge Nurse, PT/OT, RN Case Manager, Social Worker, Educator, and Dietitian
