Description

PAY:

Traveler Pay: $2923 weekly ($46/hr. on w2 + $1267 Stipend) for 36 hours.

JOB DETAILS:

  • Position - RN MS/Tele
  • Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, New York, 13502
  • Duration - 13 weeks contract
  • Shift - Shift: 10:30A-11P 
  • Weekly - 36 hours

ED RN – Emergency Department

Shift: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
Unit: Emergency Department
Shift Length: 12.5 hours
 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recent ED RN experience required.
  • Pediatric (PEDS) experience required.
  • Travel nursing experience is required and must be documented on the resume.
  • Candidates must live 75+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate.
  • Local candidates within 75 miles will be accepted at the local rate.
  • Up-to-date resume with complete work history and travel experience.
  • Specialty-specific Skills Checklist matching ED.
  • Valid driver’s license with an address matching the candidate demographics.
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at the time of submission.
  • EPIC EMR experience required.
  • NURSYS license verification required with an active New York RN license.

Required Certifications

All certifications must be current and AHA-approved:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC

Unit & Clinical Requirements

  • 64-bed Emergency Department
    • 2 Triage
    • 40 Acute
    • 6 Super Track
    • 2 Trauma
    • 10 CDU
    • 6 Psych
  • Floating: Required
  • Charge RN capability: Highly preferred
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Patient Population

ED nurses may care for:

  • Newborns
  • Pediatrics
  • Adults
  • Geriatric patients

Common diagnoses include:

  • Stroke
  • Sepsis
  • Trauma
  • Myocardial Infarction (MI)
  • Cardiac Arrest
  • Respiratory Failure

The facility expects ED nurses to provide care to all assigned patients, including SANE patients.
