Travel RN – Gero Psych | Akron, OH

Unit: Gero Psychiatric Unit (16 Private Rooms)
Location: Akron Campus, OH
Contract: 10 Weeks (10/19/2026 – 12/27/2026)
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Interview Required

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

2+ years of Psychiatric RN experience
Epic experience within the last year (must be listed on resume)
BLS required
CPI Blue Card (Crisis Prevention Institute) required at submission
Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
Ability to draw blood and manage IVs

Patient Population

Geriatric psychiatric patients (primarily age 60+)
Dementia
Depression
Suicidal patients

Unit Highlights

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6-7
16 private rooms
Centrak safety badges provided
Float required
May float to Med/Surg units as helping hands within scope
