💰 Pay Rate: $50.00/hr
📍 Location: Philadelphia, PA
🕒 Shift: Nights Only | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week
📅 Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Are you an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RN looking for a rewarding local contract opportunity? Join a high-acuity healthcare team supporting admitted patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting placement on inpatient units.

About the Role

Agency RNs will provide inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the ED, ensuring patient safety, continuity of care, and efficient patient flow during periods of high hospital census.

👩‍⚕️ Patient Assignment Ratio:

Up to 4 patients (4:1)

Patients may include:

✅ Telemetry monitoring
✅ IV medication administration
✅ Post-procedural care
✅ General medical-surgical patients awaiting inpatient placement

You'll support a facility with:

🏥 9 Medical-Surgical Units
🏥 5 Step-Down Units

Requirements

✔ Active RN License
✔ Recent Inpatient Medical-Surgical Experience Required
✔ Telemetry Certification
✔ BLS Certification
✔ ACLS Certification
✔ NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Scheduling & RTO Guidelines

📌 Night Shift Only
📌 Maximum 5 days of RTO
📌 Non-holiday consecutive days off may require an extension of the contract end date by one week

📋 Additional Information • This role is dedicated to caring for admitted boarder patients located within the Emergency Department. • RNs are not expected to take regular Emergency Department patient assignments. • Assignments will remain within the ED boarder care model. • Nurses may care for patients of varying acuity levels consistent with their experience and skill set. • If departmental or organizational needs change, nurses may be temporarily reassigned to another unit within their clinical competency. • Floating Required to: All inpatient Medical-Surgical units across the hospital Women's & Family units as needed Step-Down units ED Med Surg hold areas
