🔥 36-HOUR DAY-SHIFT EMERGENCY ROOM (ER) RN CONTRACT – FAIRFIELD COUNTY / GREATER NYC METRO

An immediate 12-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) in Bridgeport, Connecticut (Fairfield County / Coastal Connecticut). Operating within a high-volume, high-acuity acute hospital emergency department, this position features a desirable 3x12 daytime schedule (36 hours guaranteed weekly). HIGH-PAYING CONNECTICUT DAY SHIFT! NO MANDATORY ON-CALL! The emergency department manages a wide spectrum of acute adult and pediatric emergencies, including acute cardiac resuscitations, stroke codes, traumatic injuries, sepsis, and behavioral health crises. If you are an acute emergency nurse skilled in rapid bedside triage, advanced vascular access, critical drip titration, and emergency airway stabilization looking to earn $2,345/week with maximum tax-free stipends in New England, this assignment is built for you!

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (36 hours guaranteed weekly).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
  • Assignment Duration: 12 Weeks (October 19, 2026 – January 16, 2027).
  • Department Setting: Acute Hospital Emergency Room (Unit: Emergency Room General).
  • Clinical Scope & Acute Care:
    • Comprehensive care for high-acuity medical and surgical emergencies: STEMI/cardiac alerts, acute stroke protocols, respiratory failure, sepsis bundles, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), multi-system trauma, and pediatric urgencies.
    • Rapid triage, hemodynamic assessment, cardiac rhythm monitoring, and procedural conscious sedation assisting.
    • Active administration and titration of emergency infusions (vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, insulin, thrombolytics).
  • EMR System: Epic (Epic experience is strictly required).

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute care Emergency Department (ED) clinical nursing experience. Prior trauma center background and previous travel nursing experience are strongly preferred.
  • Licensure: Active Connecticut RN License strictly in hand at submittal.
  • Certifications Required at Submittal (Must have all four active):
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) — must be AHA, no exceptions.
    • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
    • AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Technical Requirement: Verified prior clinical proficiency with Epic EMR is required.
