Description

Seeking an experienced ER RN to provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across a wide range of medical, surgical, trauma and pediatric emergencies. The RN will perform rapid assessments, prioritize patient care, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, assist with emergency procedures, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform rapid assessments and ongoing monitoring of emergency patients
• Provide care for medical, surgical and trauma patients
• Care for pediatric emergency patients
• Recognize and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Initiate and maintain IV therapy and other emergency interventions
• Assist with resuscitation and emergency procedures
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Recognize and appropriately respond to stroke symptoms
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain a safe, organized and efficient emergency department environment

Schedule: 36/48-hour alternating schedule – Mid Shift

48-hour schedules may also be considered

Weekend Requirement:
• 12 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) required during the contract

Required Certifications:
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC
• ENPC

Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed

Mid-shift ER RN role with a fairly heavy certification requirement, especially because the facility requires both trauma (TNCC) and pediatric emergency (ENPC) credentials.
