Description
RN – ICU Float | San Francisco, CA
Location: 1101 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94109
Facility: CPMC – Van Ness / Mission Bernal / Davies
Position: ICU Float RN
Shift: 3×12s – Days/Nights | 07:00–19:30 / 19:00–07:30
Schedule: Day/Night rotation as needed | Weekend rotation required | No call
Travel: Travel experience required
Requirements
- Active California RN License
- BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS
- 4 years ICU experience required
- Strong ICU/critical care experience with ability to float
Key Skills
- Ventilator, BiPAP/CPAP & HFNC management
- Arterial & central lines, PICC, IV therapy
- CRRT/CVVHD
- Titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips & continuous sedation
- Blood products, emergency medications
- EVD, ICP, stroke/neuro care
- Dysrhythmia interpretation & emergency response
- Chest tubes, ABGs, insulin protocols
Floating Requirements
This is a true ICU float position across all 3 CPMC campuses:
- CPMC Van Ness
- CPMC Mission Bernal
- CPMC Davies
May float to TICU/PCU/Step-Down units. If ICU/TICU coverage is not needed, the RN may float as an ICU Boarder RN in any of the 3 EDs, with MST floors as the last option.
