Travel Speech-Language Pathologist | Fairbanks, Alaska
$2,891/week + housing OR $3,321/week without housing
Favorite Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 16-week travel assignment in an inpatient/acute care setting in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; 40 hours weekly
- Contract length: 16 weeks
- Potential to float to a long-term care/skilled nursing setting as needed, with orientation provided before floating
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide evaluation and treatment for patients with stroke-related deficits, cognitive impairments, and swallowing disorders. Work includes cognitive assessments such as RBANS and instrumental swallow studies.
Pay Options
Option 1: Housing provided — $2,891 weekly gross
- $49/hour × 40 hours
- $931 weekly meals and incidentals stipend
- Housing provided
Option 2: Arrange your own housing — $3,321 weekly gross
- $22/hour × 40 hours
- $1,010 weekly lodging stipend
- $931 weekly meals and incidentals stipend
- $500 weekly taxable incentive, included in the weekly gross
Weekly gross amounts are based on 40 hours. Stipends are subject to eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 recent year of SLP experience in an inpatient/acute care setting
- Experience with modified barium swallow/video fluoroscopic swallow studies (MBS/VFSS)
- Knowledge of IDDSI standards
- Active Alaska SLP license
- MBSImP and ASHA certifications
- New graduates are not eligible
Preferred Experience
- Pediatric patients
- Level II NICU
