NICU Respiratory Therapist – Travel Contract

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide adult critical care and specialized Level III NICU respiratory care. The therapist must be comfortable working independently in a Level III NICU and caring for patients across the hospital as needed.

Requirements

• 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience
• Cerner or Epic experience required for first-time travelers
• BLS required
• NRP required
• RRT preferred
• CRT candidates may be considered with at least 2 years of experience
• Must be able to work independently in a Level III NICU
• NICU ground transport experience preferred
• Experience with nitric oxide administration preferred

Clinical Experience

Adult:

• General respiratory care
• Critical care

NICU:

• Level III NICU respiratory care
• Ground transports
• Nitric oxide administration
• Critical neonatal respiratory management

NICU therapists may also be required to provide respiratory care to adult patients.

Schedule & Additional Details

• Every other weekend
• Voluntary call
• One major and one minor holiday may be required per facility policy
• Up to 7 days RTO may be approved, excluding blackout dates
• Scrubs: Navy Blue
• Free parking / parking deck
• New or returning travelers away for 1+ year: 24 hours classroom + 24 hours unit orientation
