Description

Travel CT Technologist

Specialty: CT Scan Technologist
Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday – 3×12 hours
Contract: 91 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
Call: None
Start Date: 10/26/2026
First-Time Travelers: Accepted with previous CT experience

Facility

  • Teaching & Magnet hospital
  • Level I Trauma Center
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • 865 staffed beds
  • Daily CT census: approximately 130
  • 3 CT rooms
  • EPIC charting

Required Experience

  • 1 year CT experience preferred
  • 6 months Level I Trauma experience required
  • Siemens CT experience required
  • Previous Level I Trauma experience required
  • EPIC experience required
  • Experience with adult acute care and trauma patients
  • Must be comfortable floating within scope to sister facilities/buildings

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • BLS
  • ARRT(R)
  • ARRT(CT)
  • SCRQSA(R)(CT)
  • SC license required by start
  • Pending SC license may be considered at submission with proof of application/walk-through, but license must be active before reporting

CT Skills

Experience with:

  • Trauma and emergency CT
  • Head, chest, abdomen & pelvis
  • Brain perfusion
  • CTA/vascular studies
  • Coronary CTA
  • Cardiac imaging
  • Musculoskeletal trauma
  • ICU and ED patients
  • Contrast administration
  • Starting peripheral IVs
  • 3D/MPR/ROI reconstruction
  • Biopsies and drainage procedures preferred
  • IR/Angio experience preferred

Equipment

  • Siemens Force – Somaris 7
  • Siemens Go.Top – Somaris 10
  • Siemens Somatom Definition – Somaris 7
  • Sectra PACS

Schedule & Floating

  • Friday–Sunday
  • 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • 36 hours/week
  • No call
  • Floating/rotating between buildings as needed
  • Weekend coverage required
  • 40 hours of orientation

Important Compliance

  • Agency must provide the radiation badge — MUSC does not provide radiation badges to travelers
  • RTO must be included at submission; RTO added afterward will not be accepted
  • Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
  • COVID vaccine not required
  • Any RTO of 7+ days or holiday RTO may require facility approval
  • 60-mile radius rule applies
  • Locals may be considered at 10% below the posted bill rate
  • Previous MUSC permanent/PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Only one MUSC unit/campus can be submitted at a time
  • Labs must be completed urgently during compliance
  • Modules average approximately 4 non-billable hours

Dress Code & Parking

  • Teal top + black bottoms
  • Parking: $20 one-time pass for nights/weekends

Important: This position requires Level I Trauma + Siemens experience
