RN PCU | Columbus, OH | 16 Weeks

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital is seeking an experienced PCU RN for a 16-week travel assignment on a busy Surgical Oncology Progressive Care Unit. This mixed-acuity unit cares for both PCU and Med-Surg patients with complex oncology and post-surgical needs.

Shift:

• 3x12 Nights

• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• 36 Guaranteed Hours

Pay:

• Up to $2,120/week

Requirements:

• Active RN License

• BLS

• ACLS

• NIHSS

• Minimum 2 Years Acute Care RN Experience

• Minimum 1 Year PCU Experience

• Epic Experience Required

Preferred:

• ONS Chemotherapy Certification

• Oncology Experience

Patient Population:

• Surgical Oncology

• Breast Cancer

• Thyroid Cancer

• Melanoma

• Liver & Pancreatic Cancer

• Colorectal Cancer

• Sarcoma Reconstruction

• Cardio-Thoracic Surgery

• Orthopedic Surgery

Skills Required:

• PCU/Stepdown Experience

• Telemetry Monitoring

• Dysrhythmia Interpretation

• BiPAP/CPAP Management

• Chest Tube Care

• Tracheostomy Management

• Insulin Drips

• Heparin Drips

• Blood Transfusions

• Chemotherapy Patients

Unit Highlights:

• Mixed PCU / Med-Surg Acuity

• 36-Bed Unit

• Goal Ratio 1:4 (occasionally 1:5)

• GE Telemetry System

• Alaris Pumps

• Bladder Scanner

• Stryker Beds

• Epic EMR

Additional Details:

• Floating Required to Other Oncology Units

• Weekends Based on Unit Needs

• No Block Scheduling

• Ohio Fingerprinting Required

• RTO Must Be Submitted With Application
