System Pharmacy Charge & Compliance Analyst


Shift: Days
Shift Length: 8 hours
Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Setting: Outpatient Hospital Departments

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a System Pharmacy Charge & Compliance Analyst to support accurate and compliant medication charging, billing, and reimbursement across outpatient hospital departments.

This position supports areas such as observation units, emergency departments, outpatient surgery centers, and infusion clinics. The analyst ensures medication-related charges are complete, accurate, compliant, and aligned with CMS, HRSA, and payer regulations.

The role serves as a key bridge between pharmacy operations, revenue cycle, compliance, and finance, using strong knowledge of pharmacy workflows, coding, charge capture, and payer requirements to prevent revenue leakage and mitigate compliance risks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support accurate and compliant medication charging, billing, and reimbursement.
  • Review medication-related charges to ensure they are complete and accurate.
  • Ensure pharmacy charging practices align with applicable CMS, HRSA, and payer regulations.
  • Support charge capture processes across outpatient hospital departments.
  • Work closely with pharmacy operations, revenue cycle, compliance, and finance teams.
  • Identify potential charging and billing discrepancies.
  • Help prevent revenue leakage related to medication charging and reimbursement.
  • Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Apply knowledge of pharmacy workflows and medication charging processes to support accurate billing.
  • Utilize knowledge of coding and payer requirements to support compliant reimbursement.
  • Help ensure medication charges are properly captured across applicable outpatient services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve pharmacy charging and reimbursement issues.
  • Support ongoing compliance and accuracy of medication-related financial processes.

Required Knowledge / Skills

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy workflows

  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements
