RN- Cardiac Telemetry

Start: 11/30

Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (12-hour days)

Contract: 13 weeks / 91 days

Guaranteed: 48 hours/week is an option

Unit Details

• Beds: 36
• Staff: ~70
• Day staffing: 1 charge + 9 RN/LPN + 3 PCT
• Night staffing: 1 charge + 8 RN/LPN + 3 PCT
• Patient ratio: 4–5:1
• Equipment: Pyxis, Alaris pumps, Welch Allyn vital-sign machines
• EMR: Meditech
• Scrubs: Grey for RNs

Required Experience

This is a Cardiac Telemetry RN position. The candidate must have:

• ACLS
• Experience recovering post-cath patients
  • Sheath removal is not required
• Experience with pacemaker placements
• Stroke patient experience
• Amiodarone drips
• Cardizem drips

Preferred

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification/experience

Floating

The RN may float to:

• Other telemetry departments
• Med-Surg
• PCU

Weekend Requirement

For a 4-week schedule:

• Day shift: 3 weekend shifts, typically Saturday/Sunday
• Night shift: 3 weekend shifts, typically Friday/Saturday

The posted shift is days, so expect the Saturday/Sunday weekend pattern.
