**NICU RN – Nights** Location: Columbus, OH Shift: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Block Schedule: No **Position Overview:** * Level III NICU caring for neonates 22 weeks gestation and above * Care for neonates with respiratory distress, glucose management issues, and those requiring surgical or cardiac interventions * Experience with neonates <24–28 weeks preferred * Prior experience at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH) will be given special consideration **Requirements:** * NICU Level III and Level IV experience * BLS required * NRP required * Competency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management * Experience with gastrointestinal feeding methods and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes * Strong infection control and IV therapy skills * Experience with umbilical artery and vein catheter management **Clinical Skills:** * Pyxis medication system * IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids * EPIC documentation * SBAR communication * Arterial line management * Central line care * Neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions * Ventilator management and adjustments including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP **Patient Population:** * Respiratory distress * Glucose management issues * Neonates requiring surgery * Neonates requiring cardiac interventions transferred to NCH main campus * High-acuity neonates, including those <24–28 weeks **Provider Support:** * Multidisciplinary team including NP, interpretation services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretary
